Project Description

Project Title: Data describing the lack of Avian influenza infection and antibodies in Eastern Wild Turkeys sampled in Delmarva, USA

Summary:

These data describe avian influenza sampling efforts for eastern wild turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo silvestris) across the Maryland portion of the Delmarva Peninsula, USA in the winter of 2023-2024. Data were collected with an objective of identifying any circulating influenza A viruses (IAVs) as well as determining the extent of previous exposure to IAV’s in this population.

This dataset was extracted from the USGS Science Data Catalog (SDC). A full metadata record is included.
