These datasets contain: (1) sampling information and equipment, (2) precipitation and air temperature data from Iowa counties containing wetlands sampled, (3) water quality measurements from Iowa wetlands sampled, (4) quality assurance quality control sample result information, and (5) similarities between the highly pathogenic H5N1 virus water sequence and other highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 viruses sequenced from poultry and wild birds in Iowa.
