Summary:
View help for Summary
There are many species that are potentially susceptible to highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI). In addition to birds and poultry, H5N1 viruses have been detected in some mammals. Infection may cause illness, including severe disease and death in some cases. This dataset includes detections of HPAI in Wild and Captive Wild Mammals in the United States from May 2022 to May 2025.
